Dr. Nikhil Yadav

Dr. Nikhil Yadav completed his Bachelor of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry (BVSc & AH) from Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (LUVAS), Haryana, followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Small Animal Clinical Practice from Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), Ludhiana.

Driven by a passion for small animal surgery, he has developed extensive clinical experience in emergency medicine, soft tissue surgery, orthopedics, and neurology. He is currently pursuing an advanced residency in Orthopedics and Neurology at MaxPetz Hospital, New Delhi, where he is actively involved in diagnosing, surgically managing, and rehabilitating complex orthopedic and neurological cases.

Before joining MaxPetz, Dr. Yadav served as a Junior Surgeon at Sonadi Animal Charitable Trust, New Delhi, where he independently performed more than 20,000 surgical procedures. His surgical experience includes animal birth control surgeries, emergency soft tissue procedures, amputations, pyometra surgeries, hernia repairs, tumor excisions, wound reconstruction, hematoma management, and trauma surgeries. He has also worked as a Consultant and Junior Surgeon at Dogs & Cats Clinic, Ramesh Nagar, and completed clinical training at CGS Hospital, Gurugram.

His clinical interests focus on advanced orthopedic surgery, spinal surgery, neurology, fracture management, minimally invasive surgical techniques, and evidence-based surgical planning. He has practical experience with fracture fixation techniques, TPLO assistance, external skeletal fixation, Robert Jones bandaging, POP casting, diagnostic radiology, and point-of-care ultrasonography.

Dr. Yadav continually advances his expertise through national workshops and advanced training programs, including AO VET Basic Principles of Small Animal Fracture Management, Emergency and Critical Care Procedures in Companion Animals, Veterinary Ophthalmology Workshop, Advanced Fracture Management Workshops, Laparoscopic Hands-on Training, and World Veterinary Service (WVS) Animal Birth Control Surgical Training.

He is passionate about orthopedic biomechanics, neurosurgery, advanced imaging, and adopting emerging technologies that improve surgical precision and patient outcomes. He is committed to lifelong learning and aims to pursue internationally recognized specialist training in small animal orthopedics and neurosurgery.

Outside clinical practice, Dr. Yadav enjoys fitness, travelling, and sharing educational surgical cases to promote veterinary learning and collaboration.
