About Dr. Kunal Dev Sharma
Dr. Kunal Dev Sharma is a leading veterinary surgeon with nearly two decades of experience across India, the UK, Malaysia, and Europe. A third-generation veterinarian, he carries forward his family’s legacy that began with Delhi’s first private veterinary clinic in 1952.
After earning his membership with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (UK) and an advanced master’s in small animal surgery, Dr. Sharma specialised in orthopaedics and neurology. He has performed thousands of advanced procedures, including spinal surgeries, joint replacements, and minimally invasive interventions, and is recognised as a pioneer in spinal and trauma surgery in India.
His groundbreaking work includes India’s first pacemaker implantation in a dog and the country’s first canine brain surgery, achievements recorded in the Limca Book of Records. Today, Dr. Sharma serves as Director of MaxPetZ, shaping it into a centre of excellence in veterinary neurology and orthopaedics.
He holds a patent pending for a novel total hip replacement technique and implant system, designed and developed in India, marking a new era in veterinary orthopaedics.
